Macau Rugby Football Club (MRFU) celebrated their annual Macau Rugby 10s tournament, welcoming teams from Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou in both senior divisions and under-19s tournaments on Saturday the 27th starting at 10 a.m. at the Macau Canidrome Club.
The Cup Award was taken home by the Kowloon Specials in a neck-to-neck game against the Shenzhen Dragons. The tournament was won by a single try and a completed conversion for a final score of 7-0 for the Specials.
The local Macau Team went on to take the Plate Award in their final game against the Rock Rugby Football Club in a closely fought match that ended with a winning score for Macau of 17-12.
The Under-19s players competed in a total of six matches, with a strong display of technical talent by the Hong Kong Football Club, leading them to victory in all of their matches against the Police and the Discovery Bay Pirates.
Macau Rugby Tens conforms to the Rugby 10s tournaments rules, with ten players per team on the field.
