2007 SJM Macau Beach Rugby Tournament

The Macau Rugby Union hosted, with the support of the Instituto do Desporto de Macau and SJM, the 7th edition of the SJM Macau Beach Rugby Tournament yesterday in Hac Sá Beach in Coloane.

Twelve men's teams as well as three women's teams played under a sunny sky from 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm. In the end, the game between Macau 1 and the Guangzhou Rams decided the tournament and the Cup competition champion. This time, the local team was the best time of the day by beating the Rams by 6 to 1. In the men's Plate competition, the Shekou Mambas beat City of Dreams by 5 to 1 in a very well played game. As for the women's competition, the team from Hong Kong Football Club Ice was again victorious by beating the team from the Guangzhou Ladies by 3 games to nothing. HKFC Ice has always won this competition since they started participating in 2004. 

Trophies were handed on the beach to the teams by SJM's Vice-President for JV and Business Development, Mr. Frank McFadden, in what was a warm-up session for the night's Rugby Wold Cup games.
